WAYNE CRISER Obituary

WAYNE R.CRISER Wayne R. Criser, age 96, of Council Grove, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the Morris County Hospital of Council Grove. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 12, 2010, at 3:00 P.M., at the Matfield Green Cemetery in Matfield Green, KS. Pastor Larry Buss will officiate. A Masonic service will also be held. He has been cremated. The son of Clarence and Etta Ruckle Criser, Wayne was born March 21, 1914, at Minneha, Sedgwick County, KS.. He married Loyte Bocook on March 25, 1950, in Cottonwood Falls. She preceded him in death September 2, 2006. He was an engineer for Beech Aircraft for 25 years, He was a member of the Council Grove United Methodist Church. He was a 50+year member of the Blue Lodge #36 A.F. & A.M. in Council Grove, and the Scottish Rite in Wichita. He was one of the founders and a past president of Wichita Jeeps Motorcycle Club, Circa 1940’s. He was a loyal Wichita WSU Shocker basketball fan. He and his wife, Loyte were organizers of the Council Grove Lake Association (a yearly scholarship is given in his honor. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and an avid city council attendee. He was on the Council Grove City Zoning & Planning Council. He loved to fish, fly planes, and ride motorcycles with his wife (in younger days). He is survived by a granddaughter , Peg Nolan, of Minnesota and a grandson, Gene Nolan of Wichita. He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Criser, a daughter,Virginia Rochner, and a brother, Kenneth Criser. Memorial contributions to the Masonic Blue Lodge # 36, may be sent to P.O.
