TWILA M. CONLEY Emporia Dateline Twila M. Conley, 87, formerly of Grandview Community, died Friday, December 7, 2007, at Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia, KS. A celebration of life service will be Tuesday, December 11, 2007, 10:30 A.M., at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls, KS. Burial will follow in the Matfield Green Cemetery at Matfield Green, Kansas. The daughter of Joseph and Mattie Ethel Kimball King, Twila Mae King was born October 14, 1920, at Matfield Green, Kansas. She and Doyle E. Conley were married November 2, 1939, at Ottawa, KS. They lived in California prior to moving to Wichita where Doyle worked for Cessna. They lived in Matfield Green before moving to the Grandview Community where they lived and farmed from 1951 until 2005. She was a homemaker as well as a farmer. She is survived by her husband, Doyle, of Emporia; a daughter, Jolene Rhodes of Americus, KS.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Joe E. Conley; a grandson, Bryan D. Conley; and her sister, Alzena Blackmore. The family will meet friends Monday, 6:30 until 7:30 P.M., at the funeral home. Friends may call Monday, from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday, 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
