Ronald L Cotton Jr.

Ronald Lee Cotton Jr. went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2023. In late September of 1948, he was born to Ronald Cotton Sr., and Glenna Purvis in Yates Center, KS.

Ronald Cotton Jr., is survived by: his wife, Pamela J. Cotton of Grove, OK. His lovely stepchildren, Joe (Lisha) Gile of Emporia, KS, Amy Seimears of Emporia, KS, and Darrell (Sarah) Gile of Stillwater, OK. Also surviving are his is brothers, Rodney Cotton of Strong City, KS, and Randy (Stella) Cotton of Iowa; and many lovely grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Honor Cotton.

Ron spent his life doing for others. He served in the Navy in the 1970s for a few years, earning a purple heart, among other medals. He met his soul brother, Mel Ruthloff, in the service. Together Mel and Ron developed a strong bond and friendship. They have many cherished memories together. Ron was a funny guy; he was always able to put a smile on others' faces and make people laugh in the hardest times. Ron fought long and hard to live a life full of love and happiness. He shared many great years of love with his wife, Pamela J. Cotton. He should be remembered for his laughter and ability to lend a helping hand where he could. He greatly impacted many of the lives around him, and he will be greatly missed by all.
 

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls, KS. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard and Chase County All Veterans.
