Rebecca A. “Becky” Edwards, was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She was reunited with her Savior, 5 children, parents and granddaughter at the age of 81, on June 22, 2022, at Paramount Community Living in Newton. She was born April 1, 1941, in Houston, TX, to John L. and Betty L. (Haardt) Robinson. Becky was a program assistant at Chase County Extension office for many years and an active member and pianist at Homestead Friends Church.
On August 22, 1960, she married Larry H. Edwards after meeting in High School in Haviland, KS. They shared almost 62 years of marriage.
Becky is survived by: husband, Larry; son, Tom Edwards and wife Michelle of Monument, CO; grandchildren, Annalese, Jaxson, Sophia, Weston; brothers, David Robinson and wife Jan of Wichita KS, Dan Robinson and wife Debra of Redlands, CA; and sisters, Karen Schmidt and husband John of Wichita, KS, and Cindy Hood of Choctaw, OK.
What a beautiful celebration to take a peek behind the heavenly veil to see such a sweet reunion with her precious 5 children, Rick, Bradley, Brenda, Renee, and Larry “Todd” Edwards who preceded her along with granddaughter, Ashlynn Edwards, her parents, John and Betty Robinson and Larry’s parents, Herb and Ruth Edwards.
Cremation will take place.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Cottonwood Falls First Presbyterian Church. Family will greet friends following the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Homestead Cemetery.
