RUBY G. PERKINS BELL Cottonwood Falls Dateline Ruby G. Bell, 91, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in Cottonwood Falls. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at 1:30 P.M., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, with The Rev. Melody Kimbrel of the United Methodist Church in Cottonwood Falls officiating. Interment will follow in the Matfield Green Cemetery at Matfield Green, Kansas. The daughter of Leonard and Samantha Barkus Perkins, Ruby G. was born February 7, 1918, at Matfield Green, Kansas. She and John Elmer Bell were married March 5, 1937, at Cottonwood Falls. He preceded her in death May 31, 2007. She was a member of the Christian Church. She was a homemaker and a seamstress and worked for J.C. Penney. She is survived by a son, Ronald Bell of Bushton, KS.; two daughters: Darlene Kasselman of Valley Center, KS. and Diane Cunningham of Park City, KS.; nine grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
