Kansas City Dateline Rosemary Lawrence, age 79. formerly of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, died Friday, February 19, 2010, at her home in Kansas City, Kansas. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at 2:00 P.M., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls with Susan Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Kansas. Rosemary Watchous, the daughter of Robert and Ruth Carpenter Watchous, was born October 19, 1930, in Cottonwood Falls. Kansas. She and Roy Lawrence were married July 9, 1948, in Cottonwood Falls. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Roy, of the home; three sons: Donald Lawrence and Roy Lawrence, Jr. of Kansas City, KS., and Robert Lawrence of Borger, TX., KS.: three daughters: Linda Lemmons of Liberal, MO., Barbara Simmons and Betty Hollister of Kansas City, KS.; one sister, Thelma Wright; one brother, Phillip Watchous; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bryant Lane Watchous. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, 9:00 A.M. until service time.
