PHILIP STANLEY CRAWFORD Port Townsend, Washington Philip S. Crawford, age 65, died Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He was 65. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at 2:00 P.M., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. Pastor Warren Olson will conduct the service. Burial will be Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Prairie Grove Cemetery west of Cottonwood Falls. The son of Carson Eugene and Elizabeth Ellen Childs Crawford, he was born November 30, 1944, in Wichita, KS. He graduated as Valedictorian of the class of 1963 at Florence High School. He graduated from Sterling College with a BA in physics and political science, from Baruch College with a MBA, and did Post-Graduate Studies at Columbia University in New York City. He and Caroline Stephenson were married and parted, but remained good friends. He was employed as a Sr. Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston from 1971 until 1974. He was a Consultant for Index Systems, Inc. from 1974 until 1979. From 1979 until 2002, he worked at Union Bank of California in Long Beach, CA. He retired in 2002. Since 2010, he has been the President of The Fermion Group, Inc. He was a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, the Operations Research Society of America, The Institute for Management Science, and past president of The Management Education Continuing Seminar. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth of Cottonwood Falls; two brothers: Mark Crawford of Moundridge, KS. and Michael Crawford of Topeka, KS.; and a sister, Deborah K.E. Crawford of Wichita. He was preceded in death by his father, Carson Crawford and his grandparents.
