PEGGY L. WRIGHT Cottonwood Falls Dateline Peggy L. Wright, 58, died Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008, at 2:00 P.M., at the Flint Hills Community Church in Cottonwood Falls with The Rev. Leonard Wagner officiating. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Grove Cemetery in rural Cottonwood Falls, KS. The daughter of Howard Allen and Willadean Shelabarger Wright, Peggy Lu Wright was born August 1, 1950, at Norton, KS. She attended first through second grades in Norton and third through twelve at El Dorado, KS. She graduated in 1968. She was the head cook at the Chase County High School and also cooked at the Chase County Detention Center in Cottonwood Falls. She was on the Family Council at the Golden Living Center of Chase County. She was an AVID KU fan and enjoyed playing bingo with her daughter. She is survived by her mother, "Willie" Blackmore of Cottonwood Falls; a daughter, Andrea Thomas of Emporia; two brothers: Gary Drawbridge of Mooreland, OK. and Billy Wright of Woodward, OK.; two sisters: Anne Morris of Macon, MO. and Patsy Cutsinger of Cottonwood Falls. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shelly Brothers. The family will meet friends Wednesday, October 22, 2008, from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M., at the Flint Hills Community Church in Cottonwood Falls. Friends may call Wednesday, 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M., at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home and they may call at the church, Thursday, from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
