NAOMI "OMA" ELIZABETH PARSCALE SAMPLES STENZEL Naomi "Oma" Stenzel, age 98, of Cottonwood Falls, died Saturday, January 22, 2011, at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in Cottonwood Falls. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 10:00 A.M., at the Matfield Community Church. Pastor Rick Smith will conduct the service. Burial will follow the service in Matfield Green Cemetery, Matfield Green, Kansas. The daughter of John and Stella Austin Parscale, she was born March 31, 1912, in Boliver, MO. She and John W. Samples were married October 5, 1948, and lived in Matfield Green, KS. until his death. He died January 3, 1973. She remarried in 1977, to L.W. Stenzel. They lived in Cottonwood Falls. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Strong City. She is survived by a son, John W. Samples, of Burlingame, KS. and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Oren Parscale, Lowell Parscale, and Jr., in infancy; and one sister, Estelle Lindsay. There will be no formal family visitation the night before the service. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, 9:00 until 7:00, and at the church Saturday, 8:30 until service time.
