Maxine Wambsganss

Maxine Wambsganss, 94, of Silver City, IA, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.   Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Elk Community Cemetery in Elmdale, KS.   Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood, IA and Brown-Bennet Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls, KS are caring for Maxine and her family.

Betty Maxine Wait, daughter of Edmond Roy and Mabel Edna (Summerville) Wait was born on July 22, 1925 in Marion, KS.  She attended school up until the 8th grade.    On November 22, 1949 she married Eldor Jacob Wambsganss in Hillsboro, KS.    The couple was blessed with two children, Jacob Roy and Tilda May.   

Maxine resided in Elmdale, KS until 2006 when she moved to Silver City, IA.

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Eldor; son, Jacob; brother, Eldon Wait.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Tilda Wambsganss of Silver City, IA; daughter in law Dona Wambsganss of Grand Forks, ND; grandsons, Warren and his wife Amy and their daughter Addison of Snoqualmie, WA and Jay Wambsganss and his wife Gena and their two children Jewelie and Jorgen of St. Hilaire, MN; other relatives and a host of many friends.
