Marjorie Scobee Obituary

Marjorie L. Scobee, 93, died March 2, 2020, at Chase County Care and Rehabilitation, Cottonwood Falls. She was born July 8, 1926, in the Homestead area, to Paul and Irene (Cheeseman) Stackley. Marjorie loved working on crosswords and putting together puzzles. She was married to DeForrest “Bill” Scobee.


Marjorie is survived by: sister, Paula Jean Fruci and husband Dick of New Hampshire and numerous nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Wilma Hamilton, Mary Van Buren; and brother, Richard Stackley.


Cremation has taken place.


Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2020, at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, with Pastor Dave Thomas officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Clements Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Chase County Care and Rehabilitation, in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, PO Box 220 Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
