MURRAY S. SANDERS Murray Sanders, age 90, of Carbondale, Colorado, died February 4, 2011, at his home in Carbondale. A celebration of life graveside service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 11:00 A.M., at Prairie Grove Cemetery west of Cottonwood Falls, KS. Pastor Mark Eichler will officiate at the service. A McConnell Air Force Funeral Honor Guard will conducted military honors. The son of Clyde H. and Mary A. Stough Sanders, he was born March 16, 1921, in Wichita, KS. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He and Helen Jones were married October 15, 1948, in Wichita, KS. He worked for 62 years as a printing pressman. He was a member of Zion Methodist Church in Wichita. He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; three sons: James M. Sanders and Jack W. Sanders, both of Wichita, and Larry S. Sanders of Belvedere, KS.; a daughter, Jane A. Lindt of Carbondale, CO.; a brother, John Sanders of Wellington, KS.; three sisters: Marge Plantier of Houston, TX., Josephine Barton of Colorado Springs, CO., Fern Ward of Wichita, KS., Rosier Brandon of Wellington, KS.; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
