MARY CORRINE MCCOY DYER CAMPBELL
Cottonwood Falls Dateline Corrine Campbell, age 87, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. She was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The daughter of Howard and Jessie Garrison McCoy, Mary Corrine was born August 29, 1922, at Arkansas City, KS. She attended and graduated from Arkansas City High School. She and Marcus Dyer were married and he died during WW II. She and Ronald Campbell were married September 29, 1945, in LaJunta, CO. He died in August of 1997. Prior to her marriage to Ronald, she worked as a switchboard operator in Harper, Ks. After her marriage, they moved to California and she was a homemaker. When her children started school, she worked part-time for Bank of America in San Diego, CA. She moved to Chase County in 2001 to be near her daughter and her family. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Emporia. She is survived by her daughter, June Bell of rural Cottonwood Falls, KS.; a son, Allan Campbell of Ridgway, CO.; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A sister, June McCoy and a brother, Ernest McCoy. There is no designated memorial.
