MARLA FULKERSON Obituary

MARLA J. FULKERSON Marla J. Fulkerson, age 54, of Oakley, KS., died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, KS. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 10:00, at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls, KS. Pastor Rick Smith will conduct the service. She has been cremated. Inurnment will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery west of Cottonwood Falls, KS. The daughter of William Harold and Katherine Elizabeth Marlett Potter she was born December 31, 1957, in Emporia, KS. She was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Charles and Virginia Goad, and they lived in Reno, NV. She attended and graduated from high school in Reno, NV. She completed a computer tech program thru Topeka Tech in 2003. She was a homemaker and a waitress most of her life. She attended the Christian Church in Oakley. She is survived by a son, Austin Fulkerson and his wife, Ashley, of Emporia; three daughters: Alida Andreasen of Holton, KS., Amber Andreasen Beougher of Colby, KS., and Loeva Mills of Fayetteville, N.C.; four brothers: Dan Potter and his wife, Barb, of Cunningham, KS., Les Potter of Whitewater, KS., Jack Potter and his wife, Beverly,of Colorado, and Rick Potter of Wichita, KS.; two sisters: Joyce Buckridge and her husband, John, of Americus, KS., and Donna Rigsby of Sedgwick, KS.; six grandchildren: Colby Cannon, Logan Cannon, Wyatt Cannon, Bailey Meredith, Savannah Beougher, and Shanlee Beougher; and her former husband, Steven Nosker of Lawrence, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Potter. There will be no formal visitation. Memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be sent to the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS. 66845.
