MARCIA A. ZIMMERMAN SCOTT McCULLOM Cottonwood Falls Dateline Marcia A. McCullom, 67, died Monday, August 25, 2008, at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in Cottonwood Falls, KS. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, August 28, 2008, at 10:00 A.M., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home with The Rev. Melody Kimbrel officiating. Interment will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery in rural Cottonwood Falls. The daughter of W. Keith and Rella McClean Zimmerman, Marcia A. Zimmerman was born June 26, 1941, in Strong City, Kansas. She graduated from Chase County High School in 1959. She and Gary Scott were married and, later, divorced. She married Mac McCullom on November 10, 1984, in Cottonwood Falls, KS. She, previously, owned and managed the Flint Hills Truck Stop and Marcia’s Gathering Place in Strong City. She and Mac owned and operated an ATV Park in Jacksonville, TX., which is a wooded area for outdoor recreation such as riding four-wheelers, rock climbing, horse riding trail rides, etc. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Palestine, TX. and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in Cottonwood Falls. She was a homemaker and an avid Sports Mom. She is survived by her husband, Mac, of the home in rural Cottonwood Falls; a son, Jay Scott of rural Cottonwood Falls; two daughters: Julie DeLong of Emporia, KS. and Shelly Reyer of rural Cottonwood Falls; a brother, Steve Zimmerman of Wichita, KS.; three sisters: Susan Gailey, Pamela Brammell, and Brenda Nelson of Strong City; nine grandchildren: Brent Miller, Dylan DeLong, Devin DeLong, Danae Reyer, Rhett Reyer, Weston Scott, Caroline Scott, Cade Gibb, and Masen Scott; and one great grandson: Trenton Miller. The family will meet friends Wednesday, from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Friends may call Wednesday, from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
