Obituary

Lynette Lee Blackmore, 65, died October 17, 2022, at Chase County Care and Rehabilitation. She was born January 24, 1957, in Strong City to William M. and M. Lorene (Potter) Blackmore. Lynn graduated from Chase County High School in 1975 and from Wichita Tech as an LPN. She worked as an LPN for several years at El Dorado Correctional Facility and several area nursing homes and as a cashier/deli worker at a convenience store. Lynn was a member of Strong City United Methodist Church and attended churches wherever she lived. She was active in Singles in Agriculture and was a 10 year member of the Flint Hills 4-H Club. One year, she won a purple ribbon at the Kansas State Fair for food preservation. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, ceramics, and spending time with friends and her cat, Abby.

Lynn is survived by cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Collene Slabaugh.

Per Lynn’s wishes, cremation will take place and no service will be held. There will be a private inurnment at a later date.
