Obituary
Linda S. Lawrence, 74, died October 6, 2022, at Morris County Hospital, Council Grove. She was born November 3, 1947, in Marshfield, MO, to Jess and Dorothy (Barton) Baumgarner. Linda worked as a CNA and CMA retiring from Chase County Care and Rehabilitation. Linda loved being known as “everyone’s Grandma”. She will be greatly missed.
On March 20, 1967, she married Donald “Don” E. Lawrence. They shared 54 years of marriage before he died on January 16, 2022.
Linda is survived by: sons, Tim Lawrence and wife Jane, Larry Lawrence, all of Cottonwood Falls, David Lewis and family of Marshfield, MO; grandchildren, Garrett Groff, Geneva Lawrence-Parks, Kaylene Lawrence; great grandchildren, Adrian Groff, Colin Groff, Cy Poulton, Cope Poulton, Persephonie Parks, and Athena Parks.
She was preceded in death by mother, Dorothy Kensinger; step-father, Curtis Kensinger; and siblings, Jack Kensinger, Kenneth Baumgarner, Louise Baumgarner, and Geneva Lawrence.
Per Linda’s wishes, cremation will take place and no service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Linda S. Lawrence Memorial Fund (toward expenses), in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, PO Box 220 Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
