LESLIE F. "LES" COOPER Leslie F. "Les" Cooper, age 93, of Cottonwood Falls, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Golden Living Center of Chase County in Cottonwood Falls. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, at 10:00, at the Bazaar Cemetery. The Rev. Kim Shank of the United Methodist Church of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas will officiate. Leslie F. Cooper, the son of Frank and Hazel Yeager Cooper, was born February 9, 1919, in Bazaar, Kansas. He worked as a farmer and then as a janitor at the Chase County Courthouse. He married Virginia Cahoone on September 29, 1961, in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. She died May 5, 2006. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cottonwood Falls and of the Lions Club. He is survived by three sons: Michael Cooper of Lawrence, Kansas, Donald Cooper of Des Moines, Iowa; and Dale Starkey of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas; one daughter, Linda Stubenhofer of Strong City; a sister of Phoenix, Arizona; 11 grandchildren: David, Joel, Arlette, Kai, Leslie, Missy, Mindy, Megan, Cole, Deanna, and Paula; 15 great grandchildren: Olivia, Ben, Burke, Willa, Johnathan, Tyler, Hannah, Josh, Jorden, Mason, Lilly, Wyatt, Brody, Macy, and Jake; and one great great granddaughter: Jenni . There will be no formal family visitation.
