LENA L. DEWOLFE Lena Dewolfe, age 94, of Bonner Springs, died December 25, 2011, at the Bonner Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Bonner Springs, KS. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011, at 2:00 P.M., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls, KS. Cremation will follow the service. The daughter of Joseph M. and Iva A. James White, Lena was born July 8, 1917, in Strong City, KS. When she lived in Emporia, KS., she worked at the Broadview Hotel in the laundry and in the Reebles Bakery. She and Harold E. Dewolfe were married in Cottonwood Falls. He preceded her in death October 10, 1978. She is survived by a son, George White, of DeSoto, KS.; one brother, Earl White, of Wichita, KS; one sister, Dorothy Martin, of Stockton, MO., four grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Harold, Charles, Henry, Clarence, and Jack White; and four sisters: Dottie Nichols, Mildred Hale, Marguerite Jones, and Myrtle Aurvater.
