Judy E. McClellan, 78, died July 5, 2022, at her home in Elmdale. She was born May 15, 1943, in Maryville, MO, to Francis E. “Dick” and Edytha “Helen” (Slayden) Mildward. Judy was a passionate caregiver to her family who didn’t like to have attention on herself. She loved dancing, photography and eagles. She would spend hours out at the Chase County State Lake taking pictures. When her husband was a truck driver, they would ride together and traveled all over the United States. The saying goes, “if the porch light is on, the coffee pot is on” and you could always stop in for a cup.
Judy and (Henry) Ray McClellan spent over 50 years together before he died on February 15, 2016.
She is survived by: children, Cathy Reynolds of Elmdale, Joe Reynolds and wife Terri of Toledo, Cindy Potter and husband Gary of Strong City, Malinda Collier and husband Steve of Reed Springs, MO, Kim Meyers and husband Jody of Americus; 16 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Mildward of Hardy, AR.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray McClellan; and sister, Debbie Rollins.
Cremation will take place and per Judy’s wishes no service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Splash Pad at Strong City Park, in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home PO Box 220 Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
