JOHN ALLAN LIND

JOHN A. LIND John Lind, age 77, of Toledo Township, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at his farm in Toledo Township, KS. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, at 11:00 A.M., at the Saffordville United Methodist Church in Toledo Township, Kansas. Pastor Laura Burnett will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery in Toledo Township, Kansas. The son of Russell F. and Helen Faye Thomas Lind, Allan John was born March 9, 1935, in this grandmother’s home east of Saffordville. He attended Toledo Grade School and graduated from Toledo Township High School in 1953. He served in the U. S. Navy on the U.S.S. Antietam (CVS-36). He was a farmer/stockman in the Toledo Township all of his life. He was a member of the American Angus Association and the Farm Bureau. He is survived by a brother, Derald A. Lind and his wife, Wilma, of Kansas City, KS. and two nieces: Lori Ann Lind and Anita Faye Lind. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will meet friends Wednesday, from 6:30 and 8:00, at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home. Friends may call Wednesday, from noon from 8:00.
