HELEN J. HINERMAN WILLHITE Helen Willhite, age 81, of Cottonwood Falls, died Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita, Kansas. A celebration of life service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 10:00 A.M., at the Elmdale United Methodist Church in Elmdale, Kansas. Pastor Warren Olson will conduct the service. Interment, following the service, will be at 1:30 P.M., in the Blankenship Cemetery near Rosalia, Kansas. The daughter of Orville H. and Edna R. Prather Hinerman,. Helen J. was born January 23, 1930, in Salyards, Kansas. She received her Associate Degree in Business from Emporia State Teacher’s College. She worked as a secretary for Santa Fe Truck Line in Wichita before her marriage to Lowell E. Willhite on September 13, 1953, at the Reece Christian Church in Reece, Kansas. He died May 15, 1979. She worked for Charles Rayl and Associates as a legal secretary from 1978 until 2009, when she retired. She was a member of the Elmdale United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son, Gordon E. Willhite of Sedan, Kansas; two daughters: Lisa K. McLean of Newcastle, Oklahoma, and Lori R. Danler of Wamego, Kansas; seven grandchildren: Lucas Willhite, Dayna Draper, Hayley Sparks, Megan McLean, Erin McLean, Jeremy Danler, and Jessica Danler; and four great grandchildren: Ty Willhite, Reece Willhite, Mallory Draper, and Taylor Draper. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Orville H., Hinerman, Jr. The family will meet friends Tuesday, from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home.
