GERALD HOWARD GREEN Gerald H. Green, age 66, of Elmdale, Kansas, died, after a short illness, Sunday, October 31, 2010, at the University of Kansas Hospital and Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. There will be a graveside service Saturday, November 6, at 1:30 P.M., at Elmdale Cemetery, Elmdale, Kansas with Pastor Michael Stubbs officiating. Military honors will be presented by an U.S. Navy honor detail. A memorial, Celebration of Life, service will be held Saturday, at 4:00P.M., at Victory Fellowship off of Americus Road, Emporia, Kansas. The son of Howard C. and Helen L. Brecht Green, Gerald Howard was born February 4, 1944, at Strong City, Kansas. He graduated from Strong City High School in the class of 1962. He graduated from Draughon’s College of Commerce with a business degree. He and Ruth E. Hinck Green were married February 26, 1972, in Wayne, Michigan. She survives. He was a member of Victory Fellowship Church. He worked for IBP/Tyson as a meat packer. He is survived by seven sons: John A. Green & his wife, Trina of Wichita, KS., Martin S. Green of Dallas, TX., David S. Green & his wife, Tiffany of Hutchinson, KS., Matthew G. Green & his wife, Karen of Osage City, KS., Adam C. Green & his wife, Rebekah of Emporia, KS., Benjamin J. Green & his wife, Leah of Beaufort, SC., and Caleb J. Green of Lackland Air Force Base, TX.; three daughters: Sarah M. Gray & her husband, Benjamin of Emporia, KS., Rachel R. Estrada & her husband, Eric of Grand Prairie, TX., and Elizabeth L. Thomason & her husband, Eric of Grand Prairie, TX.; his mother, Helen Green Johnson of Strong City, KS.; a brother, Barry L. Green of Shawnee, KS.; two sisters: Judith A. Gordon and Angie I. Thompson both of Strong City, KS.; and 24 Grandchildren. The family will meet friends Friday, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., at Victory Fellowship Church off of Americus Road, Emporia, KS.
