Emma Swift Obituary

Emma Louise Swift, 88, died October 31, 2023, at Chase County Care and Rehabilitation. She was born July 1, 1935, in Hartford. Louise was an avid reader and loved hummingbirds. She retired from Newman Regional Health as a ward clerk in surgery.

She married Elmer Swift in 1977 in Strong City. They shared 46 years of marriage.

Louise is survived by: husband, Elmer of Strong City; daughters, Kathy Alexander of Emporia, Robin Frost and husband John of Plattsmouth, NE; grandchildren, John Frost IV and wife Dottie, Angela Martines and husband Jon; great grandchildren, Samantha Rawlings, Mikayla Frost, Trenton Martines, Braden Martines; great great-grandchildren, Eli Rawlings, Preston Rawlings, Kinsley McDermott; step-daughter, Judith Williams of Olathe; step-grandchildren, Andrea Beckley and husband Joey, April Acosta, Ariel Williams; and step great grandchildren, Dominick Acosta, Evelyn Acosta, Britton Beckley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Forrest Marks; and brothers, Dave and Richard Marks.

Cremation will take place.
