Eddie L LeMay

Eddie Lee LeMay was born on October 13, 1949, to Lena (Pratt) and Charles LeMay in Council Grove. On November 6, 1973, he and Elsie L. Gaston were married. To this union 1 child was born, Christina. He raised 4 others as his own, Robert, Beverly, Grace and Sadie.

He worked for Casey’s making pizza. Also, for the City of Cottonwood Falls. In his early years he drove a concrete truck for Council Grove Concrete. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elsie; children, Robert Gaston, Beverly Gaston, Grace (Mike) Harris, Sadie (Jeff) Cooper, Christina (Deanna) LeMay; grandchildren, Malachi, Jacob (Bethany), and Sarah (Drew) Keller, Michael (Brittany) and Brett Cooper, Ashley, Eddie and Justin LeMay; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Wanda) LeMay; sisters, Karen (Terry) Davis, Shirley Marple; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Orland; sister, Sharon; brother-in-law, Gene Marple and infant siblings, Gene and Mary.

Cremation will take place.

A celebration of life gathering will be 2:00-4:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at Flint Hills Community Church, Cottonwood Falls. Memorials may be made to Chase Count Senior Center, in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home PO Box 220 Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
