EDWARD EUGENE "GENE" FILLMORE

GENE FILLMORE El Dorado, Arkansas Dateline Gene Fillmore, 72, of El Dorado, Arkansas and formerly of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, died Monday, April 28, 2008, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in Bazaar Cemetery, rural Bazaar, Kansas. Pastor David Gass of the Cedar Point Community Church in Cedar Point will officiate at the service. The son of Edward William and Zelda Grace Spain Fillmore, Edward Eugene "Gene" was born June 7, 1935, in Cottonwood Falls, KS. He and Mary Carol were married for 14 years. Gene was a truck driver his whole life. He last drove for Frank Thompson Trucking before retiring. He enjoyed the freedom of riding a motorcycle and did so in his spare time. He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home; a son, Kevin Miller of Elmdale, KS.; a step-son, Tim Green of Crossett, AR.; three step-daughters: Linda Stuart of Benbrook, TX., Brenda Rogriguez of Benbrook, TX., and Tammy Foster of Romance, AR.; two brothers: Robert Fillmore of Strong City, KS. and Bill Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls, KS.; six sisters: Peggy Kent of Smackover, AR., Pat Donelson of Cottonwood Falls, KS., Betty Yoakem of Kennesaw, Georgia, Carole Talley of Rockport, TX., Carla Gibb of Charlotte, N.C., and Kay Kleinsorge of Buda, TX.; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
