Dee Ellen Schwilling

Dee Ellen Schwilling was born March 24, 1932, in Matfield Green, Kansas to Harvey Lloyd and Ila Pearl Meade Cox. She passed away March 25, 2022. She grew up in Chase County and graduated from Chase County High School in 1950. Dee married Harry M. Schwilling on January 21, 1951. Harry and Dee were the parents of four children, Sharon Sue Green-Lee, Patty Green, Timmy (T.J.) Schwilling, and Rickey J. Schwilling (Leanne).

ee was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Schwilling; parents, Harvey and Ila Cox; sister, Donna Brown; brother, Bill Cox; and niece, Lisa Cox.

She is survived by her brother, Gene Cox (Patsy); her children; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be March 29, 2022, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Brown- Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cottonwood Falls. Memorial donation may be made to Cross Point Freewill Baptist Church, in care of Brown- Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, PO Box 220 Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.
