Obituary

Dave Knoblock, 75, died February 2, 2022, at home in Bazaar. He was born June 16, 1946, Honolulu, HI, to Leslie Richard Jr. and Mary Elizabeth (Dillard) Knoblock. Dave graduated from St. Gregory’s High School in Shawnee, OK. Dave served in the United States Air Force, achieved the rank of Tech Sergeant and served as a crew chief in a C-130 squadron. The importance of that position is it keeps the aircraft airworthy. David served in that capacity in Vietnam and was involved in support of humanitarian and combat missions. At the end of his service time, he was assigned to Topeka Air Force Base where he fell in love with Kansas and the Flint Hills. He enjoyed collecting guns and hunting.

On October 18, 1986, he married Beverly Pinkston. They shared 35 years of marriage.

Dave is survived by: wife, Beverly of the home; brothers, Les Knoblock of Commerce, GA and James R. Knoblock of Bridgeport, WV.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Anthony Knoblock.

Cremation will take place.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Bazaar Schoolhouse with Reverend Tim Woods officiating. Military honors will follow the service conducted by McConnell Air Force Base. Memorial donations may be made to Chase County Good Samaritan Fund or Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church, in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, PO Box 220 Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
