DOYLE E. CONLEY Emporia Dateline Doyle E. Conley, age 88, formerly of Grandview Community, died Monday, September 1, 2008, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia, KS. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, September 5, 2008, at 2:00 P.M., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls, KS. Interment will follow in Matfield Green Cemetery at Matfield Green, KS. The son of Joe and Mattie Lindenmuth Conley, Doyle Ernest Conley was born June, 15, 1920, in Beverly, KS. He and Twila King were married November 2, 1939, in Ottawa, KS. Twila preceded him in death on December 7, 2007. He farmed most of his life in Chase County doing custom cutting throughout the four counties area (including Morris, Marion, Greenwood, and Chase). During WW II, he was employed at Cessna as an aircraft worker. He was a member of Farm Bureau. He enjoyed hunting turkey, coyotes, and deer. He is survived by his daughter, Jolene Rhodes of Americus, KS.; seven grandchildren: Twila Engle, Donna Wilson, John Rhodes, Bruce Conley, Brad Conley, Brian Dreasher, and Kayla Delgado; and 15 great grandchildren: Heather and Courtney Engle, Chelsea and Jacob Wilson, Craig, Tyler, and Alex Conley, Brianna Biswell, Doyle and Duane Conley, Cody and Troy Conley, Marissa Dreasher, and Landon and Makenna Delgado. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joe Conley; sister, Dorothy Leone Kirk; and a grandson, Bryan Conley. Messages to the family may be left at www.brown-bennett-alexander.com.
