Cottonwood Falls Dateline Donnie E. Scott, 67, died Monday, June 21, 2010, at his home in Bazaar, KS. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, June 25, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home with officiating. Cremation will follow the service with the inurnment at a later date. Donald Eugene Scott, the son of Rollie O. and Florence Merle McCabe Scott, was born October 1, 1942, in Strong City, Ks. He was employed by Coors (DeBauge Brothers) and, later, by Moon Creek Kennels as a dog trainer. Due to ill health, he retired in 2007. He was a member of the Bazaar Methodist Church. He was married to Linda Crowell and they divorced. He married Pam Mason and they divorced. He married Phyllis Grokett and they divorced. He is survived by a son, Thomas J. Scott of Matfield Green; two daughters; Debora A. Scott and Amy Florence Scott of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas; three brothers: Ronald Paul Scott of Lamar, Larry Neil Scott of Emporia, Ronald Austin Scott of Strong City, Kansas; four sisters: Sharon Kay Klenk of Cottonwood Falls, Linda Rae Iliff of Olathe, KS.; Shirley Jean Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls, and Arlene Frances Matti of Strong City, KS.; a significant other, Gloria Potter and two grandchildren: Klee A. Scott and Hunter J. Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will meet with friends Thursday, from 6:00 until 7:00P.M. at the funeral home. Friends may call Wednesday, from noon 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, 9:00 A.M. until service time.
