Beverly A. Matti, 93, died April 17, 2022, at her home in rural Cottonwood Falls. She was born April 11, 1929, in Cottonwood Falls, to Robert C. and Frances A. (Beach) Gibb. Beverly graduated from Turner High School. She was a farmwife and worked in housekeeping for over 20 years at the nursing home. Beverly was a member of Cottonwood Falls First Presbyterian Church, bridge club and Presbyterian Women. When her husband was in the military they traveled through France, Germany and Holland. Beverly had enjoyed living in Germany.
On September 3, 1950, she married Marvin L. Matti in Newton. They shared 58 years of marriage before he died on October 21, 2008.
Beverly is survived by: son, Steve Matti of the home; grandchildren, Michael Scott (Ashley Hills) of Emporia, Amanda Matti (Travis Hysom) of Emporia; great grandchildren, Leland Matti of Valley Center, Elizabeth Windle of Olpe, and Aaron Matti of Emporia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Doug Gibb, Lexi Schwilling; husband, Marvin Matti; and daughter-in-law, Arlene Matti.
Per Beverly’s wishes cremation will take place and no service will be held. Memorial donation may be made to Cottonwood Falls First Presbyterian Church, in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, PO Box 220 Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
