ALEXANDER "ALEX" SOLIS Belton, MO. Dateline Alexander "Alex" Solis, age 46, formerly of Cottonwood Falls, died unexpectedly, Saturday, October 18, 2008, at his home in Belton, MO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 27, 2008, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Strong City, KS. Father Edmond Kline will conduct the mass. Inurnment will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in rural Strong City. The son of Carmel Reyes and Lupe Rangel Solis, Alexander Alonzo Solis was born August 28, 1962, in Emporia, KS. He was employed as an industrial mechanic at Frederick Manufacturing at the time of his death. He was a devoted and caring father to his children and Jasper, his dog. He is survived by his mother, Lupe Solis of Cottonwood Falls; his son, Brian Solis of Wellington, KS.; a step-daughter, Misty Rivera of Raytown, MO.; five brothers: Frederick Solis of El Dorado; Arthur Solis of Olathe; Carmel T. Solis of Andover; Albert Solis and Orlando Solis of Wichita; two sisters: Deborah Solis Barnaby of Emporia and Mary Solis-Thompson of Cottonwood Falls; and grandchildren.
