Wilma Jean Little Martin Wilma Martin, age 90, of Cottonwood Falls, KS died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the Chase County Care & Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls. She was born August 12, 1927 in Hunter, KS, the daughter of Orlen Lee "O.L." and Myrtle Bluden Little. She graduated from Strong City Rural High School in 1945. She and Dale Eugene Martin were married September 25, 1946 in Strong City, KS. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1998. Wilma was a homemaker and her family was always very important to her. As a younger girl she worked at a local restaurant and at the Ochs Cleaners. Her last employment was as the deputy clerk of the Chase County Register of Deeds for 26 years. She was a member of the Strong City United Methodist Church. Wilma was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered at the Chase County Senior Center. She loved to camp and enjoyed crafts including embroidering, crocheting, and knitting. She was a great baker and always enjoyed her flower garden. Wilma is survived by her two daughters: Beverly (Mike) Morgan of Burns, KS and Becky (Ed) Baublitz of Pembrook Pines, FL; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Little; and two sisters: Coral Roberts and Opal Bailey. There will be a visitation Sunday from 1:00 until 3:00 at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. A celebration of life service will be held Monday, July 30 at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Strong Township Cemetery in Strong City.
