Sharon (Brown) Cosper Hallum
Sharon Hallum, 77, of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas died Monday, February 18, 2019 at Stormont-Vail Health in Topeka, Kansas. The daughter of James and Allene (Graham) Brown, Sharon was born August 6, 1941 in Strong City. She attended Strong City Grade and High School. Sharon drove a cattle truck in Texas for years and worked as clerk in the Dolly Madison Outlet Store in Emporia and at various retail stores in several towns.
She attended both Baptist and Methodist churches.
Sharon is survived by three children: Mike Smith of South Dakota, Billy Cosper of Amarillo, TX, and Lori Smith of Emporia; two brothers: Jerry Brown of Osage Beach, MO and John Brown of Huntington, AR; two sisters: Cathy Kramer of White City and Pat Cripps of Cottonwood Falls; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bret Eugene Bullock; a grandson, Kyle Smith; and a brother, James Brown.
At her request, there will be no service. She donated her body to science and her cremains will be interred in Strong Township Cemetery near Strong City at a later date.
