JACK R. KLOTZ Iola, Kansas Jack R. Klotz, 63, died on Thursday, November 15, 2007, at his home in Iola. Services will be held Monday, November 19, 2007, at 1:00 P.M. at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls, KS., with The Rev. John Hastings of the Strong City Methodist Church officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Strong City Cemetery. The son of Russell Charles and Mildred Thompson Klotz, Jack Roger Klotz was born February 23, 1944, in Marysville, KS. He grew up in Emporia and the surrounding areas, enjoying a large portion of his childhood on the Prairie View Ranch in Chase County. He attended Altamont Grade School and graduated from Emporia High in 1962. He entered the United States Army in 1967 and received an honorable discharge in 1973. He and Tonya Biggs were married in 1968. They later divorced. He was an avid Wildcats fan at Kansas State University, graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He worked for FHA/USDA as an agriculture management specialist supervisor until 1978 when he went on to pursue other opportunities outside of FHA. He was an entrepreneur. He received his real estate brokers license and appraiser’s certification. He owned many successful businesses in Iola and its surrounding areas. He and his son owned and operated Trailer & Equipment Sales in Iola. He is survived by a son, Britton C. Klotz and his wife, Ginger of Iola, two grandchildren: Kyle Allen Ysusi and Halle Rae Klotz; and a daughter, Bria L. Klotz of Long Beach, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no formal visitation and the casket will remain closed.
