GREGORY LEE ALLEN Cedar Point Dateline Greg Allen, 56, died suddenly, Saturday, June 16, 2007, at his mother's home in Cedar Point. Celebration of life memorial service will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007, at 2:00 P.M., at the Flint Hills Community Church on the south end of Cottonwood Falls on Highway 177 with Pastor Larry Timm officiating. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private, family inunment service in Cedar Point Cemetary at a later date. Gregory Lee Allen was born April 21, 1951, in Wichita, KS., the son of Lee E. and Yvonne Carpenter Allen. He graduated from Council Grove High School in 1969. He enjoyed his employment as an over-the-road trucker, hauling livestock and hay. His handle name was "High Pockets." He is survived by a son, Justin Lee Allen and his wife, Laura, of Council Grove; his mother, Yvonne of Cedar Point; three grandchildren: Kelsey Bremer, Brianna Allen, and Abigail Allen; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee on August 11, 1999. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Memorial contributions to Camp Wood YMCA (for summer camp scholarships) may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS. 66845.
