Dolly Mae (McKittrick) Byram

Dolly Byram, 89, of Emporia, KS, formerly of Cedar Point and Sterling, KS, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Presbyterian Manor in Emporia, KS. She was born February 27, 1929 in Wonsevu, KS, the daughter of Howard D. and Helen (Keister) McKittrick. She graduated from Cedar Point High School in 1947. She and Arch William Byram were married March 1, 1948 in Wonsevu.

Dolly was a homemaker and worked with Arch when they managed the Co-Op grocery store in Clements and owned and operated a grocery store in Cedar Point. She was a homemaker and a good cook and baker. She also did some sewing. She and Arch enjoyed dancing and they traveled to every state in the United States. She was a Methodist.

Dolly is survived by her husband, Arch, of the home; two sons: Howard (Diane) Byram of Macon, MO and Gary Byram of Mission, KS; two sisters, WallaDee Waldmeier of Newton and Sharon Taylor of Wichita; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Rosalie Baker and Betty Jane Woodard.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Point Cemetery near Cedar Point.
